Speaker: Gerrin DeGroot, MSP Wealth Management

MSP Wealth Management was founded in 2002 as a complement to the accounting practice of Molatore, Scroggin, Peterson and Company. Accounting firm clients regularly faced tax situations resulting from their investments that did not have optimal outcomes. This inspired the birth of the financial services/wealth management side of the business. Since that time MSP Wealth Management has grown into a full service wealth management firm, with four dedicated staff members to work in conjunction with the three partners and their individual clients. The main objective of MSP Wealth is to help clients protect and grow their wealth in a tax efficient way, so they have enough income to enjoy life.

Gerrin DeGroot was born and raised in Klamath Falls. He has a very large family in the basin and is well known for coaching many soccer teams for various schools and organizations. He is a graduate from Oregon State University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He also holds series 7, 66, and Oregon insurances licenses. Gerrin truly seeks to know his client's personal situations through questioning so that he can make the best recommendations possible. His is very open in his approach and many clients feel naturally able to share concerns with him. In his free time, Gerrin raises his daughter and son and coaches their soccer teams. He likes to stay active and explore locally and travel with his children.
